In Gobi & the Water Cycle Adventure, old Grand Droppy tells a tale of adventure to his water drop grandchildren, Gobi, Aguat, and Savvy. He explains how the sun caused him to evaporate into the sky where he condensed into a cloud. Then he rained down on the back of a dinosaur only to evaporate again. This time, Grand Droppy tells his family that he precipitated in the form of snow and landed on George Washington himself. His grandchildren listen in awe as Grand Droppy continues the story of the adventures that were only made possible through the water cycle. Gobi, Aguat, and Savvy are so excited that they decide it’s their turn to have an adventure. This amusing story can be used as an interdisciplinary tool that explains the science behind the water cycle while simultaneously weaving in familiar ideas from history.
